Stand: Hall Palace - Watch Gallery P13
The KudOktopus – please do not feed!
During the watch exhibition Munichtime 2010 Stefan
Kudoke presented his latest handmade creation: KudOktopus. Nomen est omen and that is why you will find an
octopus plastically worked out within the movement - skeletonized and engraved by
hand. He is wrapped in rose gold, his suction cups in white rhodium. The
remaining movement as well as wheels are galvanised in black rhodium.
With its all-embracing tentacles KudOktopus entangles the steadily swining balance. Holding wheels and screws tightly it captures the most precious – time. With his heart beating at a rate of 18’000 vibrations per hour his suction power lasts for 46 hours. In order not to attach himself to the arm of his owner KudOktopus is placed in a stainless steel case of 42 mm diameter protected by sapphire glass on top and back. His leash is made of Alligathor leather and held together by a fold fastener made of stainless steel.
More information coming soon.
