Some collaborations begin as business relationships. Others grow through friendship, mutual respect and a shared passion for craftsmanship. The KUDOKE 2 SEN belongs to the latter.

Created together with our long-standing partner Gia Bao Luxury, the KUDOKE 2 SEN is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam, interpreted through the language of traditional German watchmaking. Limited to just nine timepieces worldwide, it is one of the most exclusive editions ever created by KUDOKE.

The first ideas for the KUDOKE 2 SEN emerged during the AHCI exhibition in 2023. What started as conversations about watches soon evolved into a shared vision: to create a timepiece that would not simply decorate a dial with Vietnamese symbols, but genuinely express the country’s spirit through craftsmanship.

Over the following years, the partnership became a close friendship. Gia Bao visited our workshop in Weifa to experience firsthand how every KUDOKE watch is crafted. In return, we travelled to Vietnam with our family, immersing ourselves in its rich history, traditions and culture. These experiences shaped every aspect of the project and ensured that every design element carries genuine meaning rather than serving as decoration.

The name “Sen” refers to the lotus flower, Vietnam’s national flower. Growing from the depths to blossom on the water’s surface, it has long symbolized purity, resilience, harmony and inner strength. It represents the ability to remain true to oneself while overcoming challenges with grace.

Rather than reproducing the lotus as a literal motif across the watch, its essence has been translated into proportion, colour, light and handcraftsmanship – creating a timepiece that speaks through subtlety rather than ornament.

The centrepiece of the watch is an exclusive hand-guilloché dial, finished with a carefully developed dégradé lacquer. Depending on the light, the dial reveals exceptional depth, transitioning gracefully from a warm honey-champagne tone in the centre to a delicate peach-salmon hue towards the outer edge.

The signature 24-hour display has been reinterpreted especially for this edition. Instead of the traditional indicator, a hand-engraved five-pointed Vietnamese star travels across the day-and-night disc, creating a subtle yet unmistakable reference to the country’s identity.

Turning the watch over reveals another hidden tribute. The hand-engraved balance cock features a finely executed lotus blossom, making the inspiration behind the project visible from both the dial side and the movement side.

A carefully selected leather strap, perfectly matched to the warm colours of the dial and the heat-blued hands, completes the harmonious appearance.

Every engraving, every surface and every finish is executed by hand in our workshop in Weifa. As a result, each KUDOKE 2 SEN possesses its own individual character – a reflection of the philosophy shared by KUDOKE and Gia Bao.

For us, true luxury is not defined by exclusivity alone. It is found in authenticity, patience, traditional craftsmanship and the unmistakable human touch behind every detail.

With only nine pieces available worldwide, the KUDOKE 2 SEN represents far more than a limited edition. It is a symbol of friendship, cultural exchange and the belief that the finest watches are those that tell stories beyond time itself.
